These terms govern your use of nortonpower.in, our WhatsApp Business communications, and any commercial relationship between you and Shri Krishna Industries (operating under the brand "Norton Power").

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing nortonpower.in, submitting an enquiry, or messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part, don't use the website or our communication channels.

If you're using the website on behalf of an organisation (a contractor, dealer, EPC firm, or buyer entity), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. About us & eligibility

The website and our products are intended for business buyers — manufacturing companies, contractors, dealers, EPC firms, government agencies, and qualified electrical professionals. By using the website, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts.

3. Permitted use of the website

You may use the website to:

• Browse our product catalogue and technical specifications
• Use the Spec Configurator to estimate pricing
• Submit enquiries
• Download spec sheets, certifications, and brochures
• Communicate with our team for sales and technical support

You must not:

• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to download our content beyond reasonable browsing
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our admin panel, servers, or databases
• Submit false or misleading information in enquiries

4. Enquiries, quotes, and orders

Information on the website (including product descriptions, indicative prices, and technical specifications) is provided in good faith for general guidance. Nothing on the website constitutes a binding offer to sell.

The actual sales process is:

1. You submit an enquiry via the form, WhatsApp, email, or phone
2. We acknowledge receipt within 4 working hours (Mon–Sat)
3. We send a formal written quotation with binding pricing, lead times, and terms
4. You issue a Purchase Order against that quotation
5. Upon our acceptance of the PO, a contract of sale is formed

Quotations remain valid for 14 days from issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are exclusive of GST, freight, and insurance unless stated. Payment terms, delivery terms, and warranties are governed by our quotation and PO acceptance, not by these website terms.

5. The Spec Configurator

The Spec Configurator on our website provides indicative pricing based on the diameter, length, grade, tolerance, and quantity you input. The figures shown are estimates calculated using current rate cards and standard density formulas.

Dispatch windows shown by the configurator (e.g., "10–12 days") are indicative based on typical workload. Actual lead times are confirmed in writing in your formal quotation.

6. WhatsApp communications

We communicate via WhatsApp Business API (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.). By providing your WhatsApp number or initiating a chat with us:

• You consent to receive transactional messages (enquiry acknowledgements, quotation confirmations, order updates) using Meta-approved templates
• You can opt out of WhatsApp communications at any time by replying "STOP" to any of our messages
• Marketing messages will only be sent if you have explicitly opted in; you can withdraw this consent at any time
• Standard data and messaging rates from your mobile carrier may apply
• WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy apply to the platform itself; we don't control Meta's processing

We do not use WhatsApp for spam, mass marketing, or unsolicited bulk communications. Misuse of our WhatsApp channel (e.g., abuse, fraudulent enquiries, illegal solicitations) may result in our blocking your number.

7. Products, installation, and warranties

Norton Power products are industrial earthing and lightning protection components manufactured in our Sarona-Urla works, Raipur. Specific terms:

• Standards compliance — our products are engineered to meet UL 467, IS 3043, IEEE 80, NBC 2016, and IEC 62561-2 as applicable. Test reports and Mill Test Certificates are available with every consignment
• Installation — our products must be installed by qualified electrical contractors per applicable standards. We do not provide installation services; we are a manufacturer
• Warranty — product-specific warranties (typically against manufacturing defects) are stated in the formal quotation and tax invoice. Warranty does not cover installation errors, soil-condition variations, theft, vandalism, or force majeure events
• Returns — manufactured-to-spec items are non-returnable except for verified manufacturing defects. Standard catalogue items may be returned within 7 days of dispatch in unused condition, subject to a restocking fee
• 40-year lifespan claims — based on independent field studies of comparable copper-bonded earthing systems. Actual lifespan depends on installation quality, soil conditions, and maintenance

8. Intellectual property

All content on nortonpower.in — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, product designs, the Spec Configurator's calculation logic, and the website's underlying code — is owned by Shri Krishna Industries or licensed to us. The "Norton Power" name and logo are trademarks of Shri Krishna Industries.

You may download technical datasheets and brochures for legitimate evaluation and procurement purposes, including sharing them within your organisation. You may not modify our materials, remove our branding, or use them for any purpose that competes with us.

Client logos shown on our website (Tata, Reliance, BHEL, Siemens, etc.) are the trademarks of their respective owners and are displayed solely to indicate that we have supplied to these organisations. No endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship is implied.

9. Disclaimers

The website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by Indian law. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
• We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of indicative information (configurator outputs, pricing estimates, dispatch windows)
• Any reliance you place on website information is at your own risk; verify critical information through formal quotations
• Technical specifications are accurate to the best of our knowledge but may be revised; always check the latest spec sheet

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Shri Krishna Industries' total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the website is limited to INR 10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand). This limit does not apply to:

• Liability arising from a formal quotation or PO (which is governed by the quotation/PO terms)
• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm — arising from your use of the website or our communications.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Shri Krishna Industries harmless from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these terms
• Your misuse of the website or our communication channels
• Your violation of any law or third-party right
• False or misleading information you provide in enquiries

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website or our communication channels at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms, the website, or our communications shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Before initiating litigation, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days from written notice of dispute.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be notified via prominent notice on the website for 30 days. Your continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance.
