Earthing strips form the connection network in any grounding system — running from electrode to electrode, electrode to equipment, and electrode to lightning protection. Norton Power manufactures both copper and galvanized iron strips through an electroplating process that uses premium chemicals and high-purity copper or zinc billets.

Available in widths from 25mm to 75mm and thicknesses from 3mm to 10mm, with lengths up to 18 feet (longer on request), Norton Power strips meet the dimensional and conductivity requirements specified in IS 3043 and standard utility tenders. Surface finish is consistent and pitting-free — important for both visual inspection compliance and long-term contact resistance.

What size earthing strip do I need for my application?

Sizing depends on fault current and length of run. For typical substations, 50x6mm copper or 75x8mm GI is common. Check IS 3043 sizing tables or share your fault current calculations and we'll recommend the right spec.

Copper or GI — which should I choose?

Copper offers higher conductivity per cross-section and longer life but at significantly higher cost. GI is the standard choice for most distribution and building applications. Substations and critical industrial earthing typically specify copper.
